A Change of Plans

Well this day is titled, "A Change of Plans". We were determined to do something fun, so we decided to stay the course and find a different adventure for the weekend.

Since we couldn't make it to Yosemite, we decided to do a road-trip to Yellowstone in Wyoming. So, we stopped by the local AAA office (membership has its privileges) to get some maps and trip-tiks for our trip.It seems that every Henley road-trip starts out with a trip to Walmart.

Loading up with some inexpensive road-trip snacks (trail mix, potato bread, beef jerky, beanie-weanies, peanut butter, etc.,).
We didn't see a "Welcome to Wyoming" sign when we entered the state, but we did see this large iron bison when we crossed the wyoming state line.
That's right....population...1.

And...this is him...the entire population of Buford, Wyoming lives in this house.

This is the store in Buford. They even had wireless available in the nations's smallest town. We sat in the car on our laptop, grabbed the wireless internet connection, then used Google maps to plan the rest of our journey.
Welcome to Buford! It's the Buford Trading Post.

It's realy rural in Wyoming. People had to come to town to get there mail.
